  • The potholes on this road have not been fixed — the issue is still present and worsening. On 28 December 2025, my car hit one of the deep potholes. As a result, I had to replace both front tyres — not just one — because it is unsafe to drive with uneven tyre wear. I paid £266 at Kwik Fit (invoice available), and the damaged tyre is shown in the attached photo. The front tyres were nearly new and had cost me around £400 in total. This represents a significant financial loss on top of the safety hazard. I have not yet checked the suspension, bushings, or shock absorbers. Further damage may have occurred. I was lucky to have run-flat tyres installed. Otherwise, I might have lost control of the car and crashed into the trees lining the side of the road. This stretch of road is extremely dangerous, especially in wet conditions or low light. Please treat this as an urgent safety issue and take immediate action. I can provide all supporting documents and photos by email if needed.

  • Pothole 2 metres long, 0.5 metres wide and over 10 cms deep. This will damage tyres, wheel rims and suspension units. This pothole has the potential to kill a motorcyclist.

  • I hit this exact pothole last night, blew the nearside front tyre instantly, slow puncture on the nearside rear tyre and had to get the car recovered.

The fact this was reported in December, acknowledged by the council and still has not been fixed is appalling. Hopeless efforts from Oxfordshire County Council, do better.
