Corner of The Croft and Richmere Road

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 17:22, Mon 8 December 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This hedge is too high and overgrown covering the path. Why don't you start issuing section 152 notices and remind them of part IX of the Highways act section 137 and 154. The highway code starts with a hierarchy of users, rule H1, starting with pedestrians and moving through to large goods vehicles, so I would hope the County Council’s highway maintenance policy would align with the code.

  • Thank you for your report. Landowners and occupiers are responsible for maintaining any boundary features on their property that adjoin public highways and affect highway safety. In this case, the highway appears to be impacted, so we will contact the land/property owner. If necessary, further action will be taken.
