Dropped wallet into drain on Holywell Street
Reported via mobile in the Other category anonymously at 16:28, Mon 8 December 2025
Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I dropped my wallet into the drain opposite Tuck Shop on Holywell Street on Saturday 8th of December. It is a 2.5D x 7.5W x 7.4H centimetres brown leather wallet with silver metal detailing. It contains my university ID, bank card, driver’s licence and other important personal identification that is expensive to replace. Could it be retrieved next time the drains are cleaned, and given to the Hertford College Porter’s Lodge?

Unfortunately this is not a highway drainage gully and we will be unable to help with this. This is a cover for the basement, which will be owned by the adjacent building. I presume in the case it may be Hertford College. You will need to contact the porter, and see if they are able to help access the basement to retrieve your wallet. I hope you get it back!
