Potholes and loose granite sets

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:24, Mon 8 December 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

These potholes on Reading Road near the bus stop by woodpeckers are getting much worse with the heavy rain. Heavy delivery lorries and school traffic plus the buses parking or pulling into the kerb have caused the granite sets to be dislodged. several now loose and lying by the roadway. Very hazardous for road and footpath users.

  • This problem is getting worse. 5 granite setts are now dislodged and lying in an increasingly deep pothole. This is by the X40 bus stop and is made worse when the bus pulls in to the kerb which has now in effect disappeared.
