Deepest pothole in Bertie Road

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:51, Mon 8 December 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This pothole next to a road drain on the East side of Bertie Road is, I believe, deeper than the others in this section of Bertie Road. Cars really have to crawl over this pothole, though when it has rained people may not realise how deep it is. It is certainly a danger for cyclists. Also at this time of year people may have visitors who are not familiar with the state of Bertie Road. I think this pothole may have been repaired before but it needs more than just being patched.

  • This is a really bad pothole to the point where cars are diverting onto the pavement to avoid it which is quite concerning as it is a busy route for children walking to Cumnor Primary school.
