A pothole about 400mm in diameter and 300mm deep has appeared

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:13, Mon 8 December 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This pothole, although new, is on a bend and so not visible until you are meters away and so reacting to it is difficult. This seems to be caused by verge subsidence. Any passing cars have to swerve into on coming traffic and cyclist would have to via into middle of lane to avoid. As you can imagine this is dangerous

  • After watching the road surface being repaired I take it this must be a temporary repair as it has already started sinking!
