Golsmiths Lane is closed for number of days by Thames Water repairing a water meter in a private yard. Unnecessary diversion and incompetent project management is causing huge damage to Wallingford residents.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

OCC allowing Thames Water(TWU) to close this important road to carryout a simple repair work in a newly constructed private paved area and taking too many days to complete is not acceptable. Thames Water should have stored the excavated materials within the private land and opened the road for Xmas shoppers using the public car park. Pollution caused by the diversion is huge and damaging our health. Please instruct TWU to open the road today and pay a fine for not completing on 4th Dec shown on the sign. TWU could have completed the job with the use of a small skip and without closing the road.
