Inadequate street lighting

Street lighting is inadequate on Ilges Lane near parade of shops. There is a good stretch with no lighting provision, in a busy area with parked and turning cars where pedestrians frequently cross the road to access Tesco.

  • Thank you for the report. Oxfordshire County Councils streetlighting budget is consumed by the operation and maintenance of our existing assets. There is no budget for the installation of new lighting. It may be worth approaching the Parish or District Council to see if they are able to finance the installation and ongoing costs of a new streetlight.
