Poorly maintained footpaths

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 16:54, Fri 28 November 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The pavements in Chiltern Crescent Wallingford have not been maintained. Other pavements on the Fir Tree estate have been replaced, but in the 29 years that I have lived here no repairs and certainly no replacement has been carried out in Chiltern Crescent. The state of the pavements is causing accidents and causing those with any mobility issue to have to walk in the road.

Most residents do their best to keep their side of the pavements clear, but the tarmac is so degraded in some places it is only the weeds that are holding the path together.

A new school is being built for September 2026 in the local area which is likely to increase the footfall. Please prevent further accidents, (I broke my hand tripping on this path and needed physio at the NOC), and please help people of all ages to travel sustainably by being able to walk safely down the pavement.
