Inadequate crossing point

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The busiest crossing point on Magdalen Street/St Giles is at the junction with Beaumont Street by the Ashmolean Museum. The section in the middle of this crossing is in very poor condition and not really suitable. Other crossing points on Beaumont Street were upgraded a few years ago, why not this one?

  • We can confirm that we are currently looking into proposals for a scheme at this junction aimed at improving conditions for all users including considerations into its capacity for general traffic whilst improving the passage of pedestrians and cyclists.
