Westfield Road Cholsey, important route

Westfield Road has become the main link from Cholsey ( which gets bigger by the day due to new developments) to the A34, going north to the Midlands or south to the coast. This road is in a poor state and still resembles a small country road with half repaired potholes or other damage down both sides of the road. It's new status as the main link from Cholsey to the A34 needs to be recognised and it needs to be resurfaced to accommodate the amount of traffic it now carries.

    There appears to be some basic repairs on the LHS leaving Cholsey, but the overall condition of this important link road is not fit for purpose given the amount of traffic. It is a particular danger to cyclists approaching Cholsey as the edge of the road on that side has a lot of pot holes and damaged road surface. The road under the railway bridge is nothing short of appalling, dangerous for cyclists and damaging to car suspension unless you crawl over it. It has been in this condition for too long now and something needs to be done about it.
