Poor road surface

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 17:39, Thu 13 November 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The whole of the one-way system on this road has a very poor road surface on the Southrop end of the one-way towards the main road. The surface layer is broken away in many places particularly all along the left hand side of the road causing some drivers to drive on the other side of the road. It's uneven surface makes the car shake and rattle and it's getting to the point where I am considering alternative routes so as not to damage my car.

  • Road surface still not fixed - caused a puncture on both my passenger side tyres and complete blow outs ending in recovery being required. Dangerous as the pot hole was so deep it filled up with water and was hard to see on the drive into work in the rain.

Highways maintenance arrived after the incident to fill the hole and mentioned it had been put on a standard 28 day fix, rather than an emergency which it should have been classed as to begin with.
