Flooding out to centre of carriageway

Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 07:37, Monday 10 November 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

New tarmac has been laid with a fall between the gullies instead of a fall towards the gullies leading to a huge puddle forming every time it rains. This is soaking people as they walk along the path and cars go by, and is a serious aquaplaning risk. No amount of gully emptying will solve this problem, the water is pooling between gullies where bad workmanship has messed up the road laying levels and falls as we have never had a puddle there until the recent resurfacing approximately a month ago.

  • Surface water ponding issue reported following the recent road surfacing work. This new surfacing should last for good 15-20 years. Water ponding should be resolved by your contractor at no extra spending by rate payers.
