Overgrown vegetation from islip turn to the bridge, locked pedestrian/cyclepath

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 17:37, Saturday 1 November 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Multiple tees, branches, overgrown grass and bushes blocking the footpath and only safe cycle and pedestrian route next to the very busy, national speed limit slip road from A34. This is particularly perilous in the darker evenings and mornings when even the brightest torches/ bike lights don't pick up all of the obstructions, which leads to an increased risk of falling into the road.

  • I would like to echo the above issue, and provide photos to show how bad the issue is - note that these cars were going very fast and there is no other path for pedestrians/cyclists. Some parts of the path require going onto the mud, which is very dangerous in rainy conditions. This is part of my daily commute and is unavoidable for any cyclists coming out of Islip towards Oxford/Kidlington.
