Blocked drainage channel located across the footway

Reported via desktop in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category anonymously at 13:55, Fri 31 October 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The blocked drainage channel runs horizontally across the pavement and is designed to take water discharged from the adjacent downpipe into the road gutter. However, the channel is currently blocked with moss, debris and vegetation, meaning that water from the downpipe is unable to enter the drainage system and instead pools around the property wall. This is causing: 1. Surface water accumulation against the building masonry 2. Moss growth, increasing the slip hazard on the public footway 3. Long-term damp issues and serious erosion to the building fabric
