Dangerous steel protrusion

Reported via mobile in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 04:37, Thursday 23 October 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

At the base of this bridge, there is what remains of the original footpath signpost protruding 50mm from the ground, it is a jagged end to a steel post. Directly between two playgrounds, and as such is a potential danger to children falling on it. It was originally a highways footpath signpost protruding 50mm and NOT on private land.

  • There will be a serious lawsuit, should a child fall from a bicycle whilst riding across a council erected bridge, and seriously hurt themselves on this jagged piece of metal!
