Hi, there are now another two street lamps that are not working on Marsh Road in East Oxford (three in total along a short stretch of road).
The lamps that are not working are the one outside the car garage/workshop, the one outside the Marsh Harrier pub and the one with the 20mph sign on a little further up on the same side of the road, just after the Marsh Harrier pub.
Having so many lights out of action on the same section of road is a safety hazard and I hope this can now be urgently dealt with and fixed.
We continue to pay our council tax on time, every month and we would ask that our street is maintained in return.

Currently the temporary policy is for our interim contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority, these will be attended within a 24hr period. However, when and if additional resources plus materials are available the contractor has started to carry out repairs to the older outstanding faults these will be grouped by areas for efficiency.
Individual parts will also need to be ordered on a number of faults as these are not standard items, unfortunately this will increase the time it takes that these units are not operational. We are currently in the process of negotiating with our interim contractor to provide additional resources to look at all faults to reduce the outstanding levels, however these will not have target timescales for repairs but we anticipate that they will be fixed as soon as possible.

Thanks for your response.
As I mentioned before, there are three lights out on the same street and one of them has structural damage and wiring exposed to the elements (the top has blown off in the wind).
This needs sorting out urgently so I trust that you will arrange for these to be fixed as soon as possible.

Thank you for the update, our interim contractor did attend all 3 lights and found unit 7 to have no fault. I will re raise this as still being an issue.

Lamp 7 on Marsh Road is still faulty (switching off and on) so has not yet been fixed.
Could you please arrange for this to be sorted and do Lamp 1 on Crescent Road as well whilst you are at it?

Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach

We believe this issue was addressed but due to a technical error it hasn’t been updated on FixMyStreet. We now consider it fixed, but if the issue still exists please let us know by creating a new report on FixMyStreet: https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk a>.
