Road has collapsed

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 09:35, Fri 17 October 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

The road has sunk as you drive off this bridge in the Fringford direction. It makes this section of road quite dangerous, as there is a sudden drop which can unsettle the car.

It also means that cars driving towards Fringford move to the middle of the road to avoid this, into the path of onmcoming traffic coming around a blind bend from the Fringford direction.

It just needs some tarmac to infill the sudden drop in the road level.

A photo doesn't really portray the situation, but if you drive over the bridge at anything over 40mph, you will understand the issue.
