Church Road is inaccessible to pedestrians with poor mobility.

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 15:49, Thu 16 October 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Church Road is severely degraded with numerous potholes that pose a risk to vehicle damage and personal injury. It lacks pedestrian pathways and street lighting making it hazardous and effectively inaccessible for individuals with limited mobility or visual impairments. Given the church is a public facility, the current state of Church Lane appears to contravene the principles of the Equality Act 2010 which mandates reasonable access for all. We urge the Council to prioritise resurfacing, install pedestrian access and consider appropriate lighting.

  • It is Church Lane not Church Road - my mistake, sorry. The photos show it is a long walk along a potholed and very uneven surface with no pavements and no lighting. It makes the church practically inaccessible to people with poor mobility, particularly when it rains as all the potholes flood and can spread across the whole width of the road.
