Potholes around Diamond Farm entrance
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:18, Tue 14 October 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
A series of existing potholes have reappeared. Hazard for cyclists at night. Northbound from Diamond Farm, in the direction of Bletchingdon, the road surface has dipped and is very not level for a long stretch of the B4027. In need of resurfacing to resolve the numerous potholes and degraded road edges. Many thanks indeed.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take photos safely. There are potholes just outside the entrance to the farm, and another one further up the road on the opposite side, in the direction of Bletchingdon. Thank you

This pothole is now in need of an emergency repair. Serious collision risk with cars swerving to avoid blown tyres. There is also another pothole of the same size on the opposite side of the road, also in need of immediate action Many thanks.

This is the beyond dangerous pothole that blew my front trye out this morning,18/11/2025 about 7:30am, on the B4027 just outside The Diamond Park Caravan site. We were changing the trye further on when another driver stopped to tell us he had reported this pothole. This pothole is lethal and I will be asking for compensation for the damage to my wheel.

This pothole has been fixed, however there is another pothole opposite of equal size and depth with cars swerving to avoid damage to tyres. Real hazard to cyclists. Accident waiting to happen. Emergency repair needed. Many thanks indeed,

Yes - they repaired the pothole directly opposite the turning, but ignored the other, equally large pothole that was 5-10m away on the Heathfield village side. Presumably this will result in another/separate callout?

This pothole has got even bigger. It is now an even more serious hazard. It is at least 30-40cm across and 10-20cm deep

The recent repair to the large pothole outside Diamond Farm has already started to fail due to either inadequate materials or poor application. The pothole opposite the junction is now another serious collision hazard in need of urgent action. Many thanks.

A car has had its tyres blown at the location due to deep potholes. The recent repair lasted less than a couple of weeks before it deteriorated. Poor materials or application. In need of emergency repair. Accident hazard. Cars swerving to avoid tyre damage. Many thanks.

Such dangerous potholes have reoccurred again, cars getting punctured and swerving to avoid. The road is in need of a full resurface like the recent Weston on the Green Road. A disgrace how long this has been going on for with little action from the council. And then when you do have to make a claim for a puncture you are told it will take 5 months even to be investigated. Disgraceful.

The pothole on the southbound side as you head from Bletchingdon towards Islip is now HUGE - seriously in need of attention. This morning I witnessed two cars nearly having an accident as the one on my side of the road swerved at the last minute when they realised how deep the hole is. As others have mentioned, it's an accident waiting to happen ...

The whole road needs resurfacing the edges are coming away again due to the recent weather so the current large failing of the road is only going to occur further up, we keep going round in circles rather than a complete resurfacing of the entire road

Massive pothole by diamond farm entrance, unavoidable and hard to see. Very dangerous.

This area has not been repaired despite crews in the area last week. Uneven surface outside Diamond Farm due to a series of potholes poorly repaired last time this stretch of road was reported.

From Cllr Liam Walker
If you’ve suffered damage to your vehicle due to a pothole on a county council maintained road, you can submit a claim to Oxfordshire County Council. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide:
1️⃣ Gather evidence ▪️Photos of the pothole (clear, close-up, and wider shots to show location). ▪️Photos of the damage to your vehicle. ▪️Date, time, and exact location of the incident.
2️⃣ Keep records ▪️Repair quotes or invoices. ▪️Any recovery or breakdown receipts. ▪️Details of any witnesses (if available).
3️⃣ Report the pothole ▪️Make sure the pothole is reported via the Council’s online reporting system (if it hasn’t already been) which can be done here: https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/
4️⃣ Submit a claim
▪️Complete the highways damage claim form on the Oxfordshire County Council website here: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ transport-and-travel/ street-maintenance-z/ compensation#paragraph-3985 ▪️Upload all your evidence and supporting documents.
ℹ️ Important to know ▪️Claims are assessed against whether the Council was aware of the defect and if it met intervention levels under their inspection regime.
⏳ Submitting clear evidence early can really help.

This pothole is hugely dangerous - almost unseen until you’re on top of it leaving the option of swerving into oncoming traffic …. Or damaging car. This morning it caused my front wheel to puncture AGAIN … it’s been reported for over 4 months now - how do I get compensation for the damage caused to my wheel?
