  • Thank you for your report. The Chestnut trees are infested with the pest Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner, this causes disfiguration of the leaf but is only a problem to the health of the tree if it is already in decline. Otherwise the tree can withstand annual infestation. With regard to the leaf litter this will need to be reported to the district council with a responsibility for street cleansing. We appreciate your vigilance and encourage you to report any future highway concerns.
