Keep Clear Markings Gone

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 15:21, Fri 3 October 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The KEEP CLEAR marking at the entrance of Turnagain Lane has worn away, and drivers are now frequently blocking the access point to the back entrance of Lewis Baker Retail LTD. This is a critical access route for our business, but with the road markings no longer visible, vehicles are stopping across the entrance and preventing us from using it properly.

Very often, there are cars parked in the entrance of Turnagain Lane on double yellow lines and the fact that the keep clear sign is gone, isn't helping. Whoever is parking there, is obstructing myself and business associates.

We rely on this back entrance for deliveries, particularly large pallets, which cannot be moved through the front of the store. When cars are parked across the entrance, delivery vehicles are forced to stop in the road, creating blockages and traffic build-up on the opposing side of the street. We have had to refuse 3 deliveries recently because they couldn't fit pallets down the lane when cars were parked. Staff are also unable to turn into the lane safely when access is obstructed. We urgently request that the KEEP CLEAR road markings are repainted to ensure safe and efficient access.
