Series of large potholes on cycling route.

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:45, Thu 18 September 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There are a series of pot holes here. This route is very frequently used by cyclists and this morning yet another cyclist had to swerve around them whilst a car was turning into the Woodeaton road from the B road. The road is very busy especially at rush hours and the combination of bicycles, a series of potholes on a difficult unsighted turn and cars is unsafe. Having seen problems here over the summer whilst these pot holes have existed I have realised they need to be reported as they have not been fixed. Ultimately it will lead to an accident or a cyclist falling off. Thank you.

  • This has got worse. You said it was to be actioned to be fixed last September. This corner is really dangerous on a bicycle. It's not just the potholes its also covered in loose gravel all over as well. Someone is going to get seriously hurt!

  • This was reported 7 months ago yet nothing was done. Potholes very nearby were fixed and these were left, despite having been reported. As a result they have now become so bad they are even more dangerous on a route that is used by cyclists. The repair will now be significantly more expensive wasting limited council resources. If it had been fixed when first reported it would have been cheaper, faster and have benefitted thousands of residents. No wonder people are fearful of switching from cars to bikes!
