Inadequate drainage causing flooding

The road floods because there is no “fall” to the nearby drain (which is also blocked). This has worsened since the road was relaid. During periods of flooding it is not possible to leave our property as a pedestrian without being soaked by passing traffic or having to wade through water!

  • Thank you for bringing the drainage issue to our attention. We truly appreciate your proactive approach in helping us maintain the quality of our highways. We are pleased to inform you that this area is scheduled for gully emptying within the next month. Rest assured, all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area will be thoroughly cleansed within the specified time frame.
