Significant amounts of mud carries on to the road surface

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

Traffic from the Cornbury Horse Event has brought high volumes of mud onto the carriageway between Finstock and Charlbury and into Charlbury today. There is a significant increase of skid risk for all road users especially motorcyclists. There is the additional problem of mud spray from passing vehicles, higher volumes of HGVs from the event which is likely to persist and increase as a risk in the coming days as the event and rain continues.
