The storm drain has been almost entirely covered during resurfacing, severely limiting water intake (if any)

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 21:15, Mon 8 September 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The storm drain located on the edge of the road has been 90% blocked by resurfacing of the road. It is located where the road meets the right of the driveway ramp (as you look at the house) It is connected to a culvert that runs along the verge. This was placed here 15 years ago when the property (Hills, SN7 7LY) was flooded by surface water coming off the road (twice) Please could you also check that the culvert is also clear?

  • Storm drainage and gulley from the road on Cherry Orchard remains blocked since update reports were recorded and reported in September 2025.

During heavy rain further excessive flooding has occured from the drainage ditches gulleys and roadway between the properties of Bay Tree Cottage and Hills property and further on to towards the facility at 'The Ranch' and Annabelles Nursery. This marks a hazard and danger to traffic as vehicles traversing this chicane are unnavoidably swerving and crossing the crown of the road when accessing this area.
