Thames Water contractors damage road surface - and leave it!
Reported via Android in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 18:21, Thu 4 September 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
During the past 7 days, Thames Water contractors have been conducting repairs in Merton Road, opposite Birch Road, and whilst doing so damaged a section of road surface outside the area they excavated.
They have left the site without reinstating the road to the condition it was in when they arrived. The three photographs accompanying this report evidence this.
The damaged road surface will inevitably deteriorated further, most likely into a pothole, that will need to be repaired eventually.
Thames Water or its contractors should be required to repair the damage.
