A 4th hold has appeared on the bridge within the last few days. It is immediately adjacent to two existing holes. The bridge as a whole appears to be in poor state of repair and the boards covering the previous 3 holes are a poor substitute for a proper fix. The bridge will be widely used during the hours of darkness at the time of the forthcoming Abingdon Michaelmas Fair on 6th and 7th October 2025. The attached photo was taken on 22nd September 2025.

I regularly walk the dog this way and the boards are not fixed over the holes so at times they have been moved & part of the holes are visible. There is a feeling of movement when walking across the bridge today that is worse when there are 2 or 3 people crossing. It is either rebound from the old broken walkway panels or the structure is flexing which surely it should not. Please check as it is already unsafe with the holes and is getting worse. Thanks
