Appalling road surface - cycling hazard

Reported via Android in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 16:43, Wednesday 20 August 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The whole length of road past Combe Wood has lost much of its top layer. It's particularly bad on the edges forcing cyclists into the path of cars. This longitudinal grove is just waiting to catch an unwary cyclist at night. . If you can resurface much better roads such as Southend in Garsington, surely you can make this road safe for cyclists?

This surface has been getting steadily worse for several years

PS The same can be said for stretches of Denton hill at the other end of the village
