Damaged gully creating road erosion
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Water has been flowing continuously from this drain for three months. Thames water have cleared it several times and sent a camera down. The problem keeps happening as the gully is damaged. The road is being eroded due to continual water flow.

This has been going on for months now. Even when we haven't had rain for weeks there is a continuous flow of clean water from the road and running into the drain. Where is the water coming from? Surely it's a water leak rather than spring water. It needs to be fixed before winter!

This has already been investigated by Thames Water and is not theirs. They have already passed this issue to Oxfordshire County Council.
On fix my street, it states "This gully was last cleaned 29/02/2019". So much for saying they're done on a regular basis!
Today's update from my last report is still that it is down for normal gully cleaning in the third quarter! So spanning from "October 1st to December 31st"!?
Let's hope there are no accidents/injuries when the surface water on Eynsham Road and Pinnocks Way freezes during those months as I would presume you won't be gritting it when it does freeze to prevent this from happening?

Thank you for your email of 28th July. We sincerely apologise for the delays and confusion regarding the situation at Eynsham Road and Pinnocks Way.
Please be assured that we are actively working with Thames Water to identify the root cause of the surcharge. While Thames Water has not yet confirmed whether the issue lies within their network, we are continuing to liaise closely with them to ensure all necessary checks are carried out. We anticipate further clarity next week and will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
We recognise your concerns about the gully cleaning schedule and the potential risks posed by surface water during the colder months. Your feedback is both valid and appreciated. We are currently reviewing the maintenance timelines and assessing whether interim measures are needed to mitigate any safety risks in the meantime.

I've not received any updates, so thought I'd provide one for you.
I saw drain lorries twice on different days the week before last at this site.
If you look at a couple of photos attached you'll see that the problem hasn't been resolved yet. (These came from Facebook and not taken by me).
Please note where this has been ongoing for such a long time, it's actually damaged the road surface quite badly.

This is still ongoing!!
I dread to think how many gallons of water have been lost. Local residents consider it to be a joke, especially when there's still a hose pipe ban!!
Local councillors Andrew Gant and Judy Roberts have been emailed multiple times. In Judy Roberts reply to me on Fri 10/10/25 she was going to make a complaint, I wonder if she has.
It just seems that yourselves and Thames water are continually saying it's "not our responsibility" and passing it backwards and forwards to each other! Thames Water say it's not theirs as they've tested the water and amongst other things, it's NOT chlorinated!!
The seasonal temperatures are now getting lower and the flood water will soon be freezing and become a hazard to all that use it.
The road surface is already badly damaged due to the ongoing flooding of it. Judy Roberts had advised the crew who recently resurfaced the Eynsham Road. The junction has not been resurfaced like the others and lines have not been painted etc as it can't be finished until the flooding issue has been resolved!
Why on earth can't yourselves and Thames Water meet onsite at the time is beyond me!?
PLEASE PULL YOUR FINGER OUT AND GET IT SORTED!!!!!!
P.S. A complaint has now been sent to Oxfordshire County Council, plus photos and information sent to the Oxford mail.
