A split tree around a street lamp
Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 12:25, Sat 9 August 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I previously reported this tree as it's hiding a lamppost and light, was told in a garden so can only ask owner to trim it. He has never touched it and now is is splitting. Just seen owner of tree and owner of car discussing it but I still think the owner of tree needs to be warned as more branches will split and it is close to our narrow street with no footpaths. People and vehicles could be struck by branches when high winds are prevailing.

Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the location and assessed the trees. The trees are the responsibility of the adjacent landowner and not Oxfordshire County Council. I will contact the landowner, detailing the problem and advising that they carry out remedial works to remove any hazard to the highway.
