A road sign indicating height of disused railway bridge

Reported via mobile in the Traffic Signs category by Beverley Oakley at 16:19, Tue 22 July 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This road sign (very large) completely blocks the view of the Cuddesdon Road by the tractor leaving his lane. This was reported in August 2024 through to November 2024 and in July 2025 you said this would be investigated. No further update ! If the farmer is involved in an accident because he is unable to see traffic coming through the village he CANNOT be liable because this problem is a direct result of OCC not showing care and diligence to surrounding area and not dealing with this problem as a matter of urgency

  • Thank you for raising this concern with us. We are considering the placement of this sign, however there are national guidelines that limit the placement of signs on the traffic network which complicates any options at this location. There are also a number of high priority safety issues across the county which the council are also working on which may cause delays to this consideration.
