Vegetation obscuring water meter

Reported via desktop in the Other category anonymously at 14:55, Sat 12 July 2025

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I live on Little Bury and want to check my water meter which is just off the bridleway running behind Little Bury. In the past this has been possible but the area is now overgrown quite close to the bridleway. I have tried cutting back roughly where I thought the meter would be but cannot find it.

I like the area mostly overgrown as it is, but am asking could it be restored to how it was before, which must have been that it was cut back a metre or so from the bridleway. The meter is described as being “two feet off footpath in grass", near lampost 12. As mentioned in the past this was good enough, but I now cannot find it due to brambles and nettles, without doing a whole lot of cutting back.
