Poor Sightline on OCC Highway when exiting junction

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Due to the wet weather early this year the hedging on the (Main) Barford Road has grown and is obscuring the the "Sight Line to the left hand side" when emerging from the (Minor junction) Golby Road OX15 4GX

Note please OCC previous response: Council ref: ENQ24998710 Thank you for your report. We have concluded our assessment and closed this report. According to our information, this issue has now been resolved after contact with the developer for the area to attended and cut back the hedge line. If this issue arises again, please create a new report and we will assess and take action as needed. Kind regards

  • Further to my earlier report. 15:39 Fri 11 July 2025 (above). The hedging on the (Main) Barford Road has grown and is now obscuring the the "Sight Line to the Right hand side" as well as the previously reported. Left. hand side, when emerging from the (Minor junction) Golby Road too the (Main) Barford Road. OX15 4GX

  • Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Oxfordshire County Council is not responsible for this issue, as this hedge line is a boundary feature of the development and is registered under them. This in turn means it is down to the developer to maintain and keep cut back. As this issue is not effecting the active highway we will not be taking an action.
