Broken/Rocking Paving Slab Trip Hazard

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Arthur Smith Fitchett at 14:13, Fri 11 July 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Hello there! Sorry to trouble you, but there’s a nasty little trip hazard being caused by a broken paving slab just outside the Pret on Banbury Road, in Summertown, in North Oxford. I’ve just seen a young mother trip over it, so thought I had better report it. The damage to the paving slab is not fresh, so it would appear this issue may have been here a while and weathering has caused the slab to lift at one end. Could you possibly ask one of your inspectors to have a look and get it replaced. Many thanks indeed. Councillor Arthur Smith Fitchett
