There is general deterioration in both the road and the pavement

The issue is both around the road and the pavement. This is the access to our driveway. The road itself has an excessive camber which is much greater than that seen on other residential roads. The road immediately outside our house has been dug up multiple times and has a ridge on it too. The pavement is also an issue with an extreme dip down to the gutter/ road. We have two cars and both bottom out and scrape both at the front and back when we put them on or take them off the driveway.

The broom is placed there to illustrate the problem, but actually "underplays" it as it's not long enough and does not span between the two highest points.

  • Thank you for your report. This has been investigated and no safety defects have been found. This seems to be an issue regarding a private entrance off the highway, and as such, any lay out changes would require private funding. if you would like to discuss possible works to be carried out, and a quote for these works, please email highways@odsgroup.co.uk
