Deterioration of pathway following re-spraying?

I am writing to express my concern and dissatisfaction that, after what seems to be a very short period of time, the pavement that fronts my property (50 Green Close, OX11 8TA) has deteriorated to the point that unsightly weeds are growing through again and the pavement surface is uneven. I cannot understand the point of the exercise as the pavement appears no different now to what it did prior to the works being done. I cannot recall the exact date of the works but I'd be surprised if it were more than a year ago. Another temporary 'fix' paid for by the tax payer....... It is really unsightly and as it fronts my property is the first impression that people get. I am minded to sell in the near future but am discouraged because of the unkempt footpath. The weeds are springing up again all over the place, not just outside my house so it is clearly a common problem. I would be interested to know what exactly the point of the re-spraying was if it wasn't to smooth the surfaces and fill up the gaps... the substance used was clearly not fit for purpose.
