  • Witnessed a very close call here yesterday. Three children, aged 10 approximately, on bikes cycling on the pavement on Reade Avenue met a lady with a pushchair coming the opposite way. Kids all dropped down onto the road without looking. Unfortunately a car was immediately behind and swerved to miss them. One small boy fell off his bike into the path of the car and if it weren’t for the driver’s fast action he would have been killed or very seriously injured. PLEASE get these weeds cut back or better still dug up. They are causing a serious problem.

  • Footpath is now impassable and sight lines for traffic exiting Lee Avenue is completely obscured. OCC please escalate to urgent you have been made aware of the issue and several near misses. These plants are fast growing and totally unsuitable for the location.
