Pavement Inaccessible

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 10:27, Saturday 5 July 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is serious concern regarding the condition of the pavement over the bridge near Crawley Mill. The footpath over the bridge has been broken and impassable for several years for pushchairs and wheelchair users, with hazard blocks in place, but no repairs or improvements made. Further, the plastic temporary rails are failing and pose a risk to falling in the river.

I am a parent of a disabled child who uses a wheelchair, and this path is completely inaccessible. It is a critical route near our home, and the current state of the pavement presents a major hazard and exclusion for disabled residents.

I believe this may constitute a breach of accessibility duties under the Equality Act 2010.
