Daily speeding down Wansbeck Drive
Reported via mobile in the Highway Schemes category anonymously at 23:50, Fri 4 July 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This has been ongoing for a while now and has got worse in the last few months. Wansbeck Drive is a 30mph zone and cars frequently race down it pushing 50! It's a busy route for families, old people, school kids and other vehicles and these reckless cars (usually the same ones) are putting lives at risk. I don't expect you to identify the drivers or arrest anyone, but Wansbeck Drive urgently needs some sort of deterrent... a speed warning sign or digital speed detector would be great, like the one that is currently down Shakespeare Drive or just some really big speed bumps. Easier said than done, I can appreciate that, but I'm genuinely concerned someone will eventually end up injured or killed as a result of this reckless driving. What is the best way to proceed with this without going to the police?
