I reported this a few days ago as a suspected pothole or missing utility cover because my car suffered an almighty bang on the nearside front wheel on Saturday night 28 June. This was investigated and found not to be pothole. Thinking about it further, it was possibly an object on the road, eg a fallen exhaust, concrete block/brick, or some other foreign object or debris. My garage will be inspecting that tyre for damage in a week's time.
