Overgrown hedge encroaching on walkway

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 17:47, Sun 22 June 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

From the Fox and hounds pub there used to be a walkway all round the blind bend and down watlington Hill. However, the hedge was allowed to grow and now this overgrown section makes it impossible to stay on this grassy walkway for its complete length. Walkers now step into the road at the worst possible point - on the blind bend. This is dangerous for pedestrians and drivers who come upon them very suddenly on the bend. Residents have experienced “ near misses” and this is very traumatic for all concerned. This thick hedge needs cutting by approximately a metre all along the encroaching length which is approximately 12 metres.
