Hedges and trees overgrown + pavement and roadway disrepair

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 08:20, Friday 20 June 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

RED: Hedgerow / over hanging trees (meaning parking a vehicle on the roadside isn't possible to allow another vehicle to pass without scratching along the trees / hedges. (note bin lorries and similar delivery vehicles are knocking a number of sizable branches down also.) YELLOW: Areas which require a road sweeper to attend. BLUE: Pedestrian crossing which is obscured by bushes (I have witnessed a few near misses here).

There is also badly worn tarmac towards the north end of the road and also the pavements missing a lot of surface finishing.

Hopefully some or all of the above is within your remit to investigate. I will also note that there is a covenant on my deeds which states in two places that the hedgerow should be maintained at a height of 5 foot or above and a later change to 10 foot or above. At the moment the residents are attempting to cut back what they can or sweep what the can away from drains.

Without putting to finer point on it most residents are of an older generation and doing this is difficult along with the state of the pavements and loose asphalt I can foresee some injuries in the not too distant future.

Many thanks in anticipation
