House shaking

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category by Mat Clark at 16:26, Wednesday 18 June 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Hello. We have twice reported this issue previously. Thames water came and replaced a man hole but we had some advice from a highways expert who has suggested that the join in the road (which is now cracked) is causing the road surface to deflect when busses and lorrys go over it. This is causing our house to shake violently and causing cracks in our brick work and plaster and waking us up at night.

I would suggest a full inspection of the road surface is carried out using seismic equipment as the problem is still persisting and we dont seem to be getting a resolution.

We are worried about the integrity of our home!
