Hedges and trees over grown

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category by Sam fletcher at 13:22, Tue 17 June 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The trees/hedges need cutting along the cycle path, very dangerous as tree branches hanging down and you have to either duck and hope the wind blows them to save getting hit.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
