This has been leaking water across the road since before December. It was lethal in the winter with numerous cars narrowly avoiding collision as when it was frozen you can't se it coming over the brow of the hill and it's sheet ice. There is clearly either a spring has appeared in the bank or a land drain blocked ( or perhaps a smaller water main). There is no drain ditch in this section, so water runs down the bank and even in this heat is constantly running across the road on both lanes. As per usual nothing being done about it, has been reported since last year on other posts on here....

Hello, I am a FixMyStreet user and wanted to let you know the small section of ditch midway up the B4030 hill has been cleared, this should keep the road dry for now. The entire ditch is overdue for silt removal and vegetation removal. In my opinion there are a few places where the year round spring water will spill out into the road again. FYI the county provided culvert is working properly to take the ditch water under the road, it’s about 100m uphill from the Rousham stoplights.
I have emailed the Steeple Aston parish council to request they contact the land manager of the Dean Plantation. They meet next September 5th.
