4' broken hole in pavement & verge

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 17:40, Tue 10 June 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

A contractor working at 8 Spencer Avenue had a load of foundation digging spoil removed with a grab lorry this afternoon, and the operator's negligence has damaged the pavement, posing a danger to pedestrians. There is a 4-foot-wide crater in the concrete and asphalt pavement, which is a trip hazard and will need to be repaired urgently.

  • The damage has been repaired, however the contractor has merely dribbled sand around the edge of the tarmac, and there is no wet tar seal underneath this so the job is below code standard.
