Grass is overgrown

The grass is usually cut however it hasn’t been this year. As you can see from the pictures the grass is wildely overgrown and now starting to struggle to get the bins out of the gate.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
