Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This is a 40mph limit however vehicles are persistently travelling much faster making it very dangerous. Please could the signage be improved? There is a flashing 40 sign as you approach Brightwell but the traffic should only have been travelling 40 anyway!

  • Thank you for raising this concern with us. Apologies for the delay in response. When a speed limit is reduced on a road it can take some time before regular users adjust to the new speed limit, however we are investigating this location for any outstanding sign issues. We would suggest you also raise this concern with Thames Valley Police as they are responsible for enforcement of the speed limit.
