Wooden post in the middle of the cycle path on Bulstake Stream bridge

There is a wooden post in the middle of the cycle path at each end of the foot and cycle bridge over Bulstake Stream, between Willow Walk and Ferry Hinksey Road. These posts are often hard to see, and present a significant danger to cyclists. The attached photo shows how hard it is to see the post at the eastern end of the bridge in morning light. Please find an alternative mechanism for keeping vehicles off the bridge to remove this hazard to cyclists.
